Tattooing is permanent, cost-effective identification. Ketchum permanent, antiseptic tattoo ink is spread on the area to be tattooed. Number, letter, or custom designed tatoo dies inserted into the tattooer ake small punctures in the skin. Ketchum tattoo ink is rubbed into the puncture. The skin soon closes over the Punctures, capturing the ink. The tattoo enlarges as the animel grows. All Ketchum tattooers feature the Lock-Bar method of character retention for fast, easy exchangeof individual characters. No screws to undo. Characters stay in place when lock bar is open

The 201 series tattooers use an 8mm (5/16″) size character. Each features the special Ketchum chisel point pin, which gives illusion of continuous line character. Model 201R has revolving head with up to 4 characters on each of the two faces of the head. Model 201B holds up to 6 characterin one row. Model 201C holds up to 4 characters in one row. Model 201A holds up to 8 characters in 2 rows of 4 characters each.

For tattoos of upto 16 characters. Rapid character exchange in either row as each row is served by the unique Ketchum lever lock-bar mechanism. 101 size: 2 rows of 7 characters each. 50D size: 2 rows of 7 or 8 characters each.
